Hello! My name is Alex Scalise and I am a US History teacher at Hill Country Middle School. I recently graduated with my master’s degree in Secondary Education from Texas State University. Prior to teaching for Eanes ISD, I have worked at Walsh Middle School in Round Rock and Mendez Elementary in San Marcos. Before living in Texas I lived in Illinois and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Anthropology from Eastern Illinois University.
I have a large family with whom I love spending time. I have 3 siblings and 8 (soon to be 9) nieces and nephews. Some live here in Texas while others still live back in Illinois. That may seem fairly normal, but I also have nearly 40 cousins scattered throughout the U.S. that I am constantly connected to. My attention is mostly on my immediate family these days, though. I enjoy having my nieces and nephews hangout, going out to eat and attend different sporting events. I try to visit my other family members in Illinois as much as possible. I love learning and teaching history. I enjoy reading books, seeing movies, and visiting museums. I look forward to learning about my students and having a great rest of the year! |
